i just received an email that explains all of the tiers of living in kenya as peace corps volunteer. i live like the top 5 tier, the rhino. it’s the highest of difficulty. actually, i live even higher than that, maybe a 6.5. how long can you last? try it out!
rhino-difficulty level V.
• no running water from your house, you must go fetch it from somewhere else. {i get my water on the side of the structure where i live}
• no english for the entire week. {i speak english at work, and only for me to stay sane}
• you can’t use any toilet in your house, you must go somewhere else or improvise. {i poop in a hole}
• no refrigerator {i live without electricity}
• food restriction: for one meal a day you only have access to these foods: flour, spaghetti, local vegetables, milk, eggs, and bread {i eat this stuff on a regular basis}
• solitary confinement: spend the whole weekend in one room of your house. using no electricity, you are allowed 3 books, the battery life of your computer (no recharging), a bucket to go to the toilet in. {again, i dont have electricity, and i use a bucket to bathe with}
